Chefs

All Oranges & Lemons nurseries have a qualified Nursery Chef who provides nourishing, freshly cooked food prepared on the premises. Our menus are on display and we ensure that any dietary requirements are catered for. We offer a hot 2 course lunch as well as morning and afternoon snacks, always include fresh fruit and the children have a choice of milk or water to drink throughout the day. Snacks and meals are included in nursery fees. 

Our Menus

Our nutritionally balanced menus ensure our children are raring to go every day! Our wholesome and nourishing 4 week rolling  menus are specially designed to give your little one the very best start in life. Whenever possible we source our food locally and organically, including seasonal vegetables and fruit into our menus. We aim to provide children with all the essential ingredients necessary for healthy physical and mental development.

We believe that meal-times should be a happy, relaxed time where children learn social skills, manners, good hygiene practise and healthy eating habits to last them a lifetime.

Snack (AM)Fluffy scrambled eggs with melba toast.Fruit and vegetable platter.Carrot and breadsticks with fresh mint dip.Wholemeal rolls with a variety of fillings.Melon cubes, sliced oranges and raisins.
LunchHomemade fish goujons with homemade wedges and garden peas.Mild chicken curry with vegetables, rice and naan bread.Butchers sausages, bean hotpot with sweet potato and carrots.Lentil and carrot soup with a variety of filled sandwiches.Tomato, chickpea and fresh herb penne pasta.
Snack (PM)Homemade fruit scones.Tortilla wraps with a selection of fillings and salad.Pancakes and a selection of spreads.Pitta pockets with a selection of fillings, dips and salad.Plain yoghurt with a pureed fruit medley.

Dietary Requirements

Innovation is key to our success within the nursery kitchen. Above all, we have a flexible approach and are happy to cater for a range of dietary/medical/religious and cultural requirements including:
